The Blogger HTML Editor allows you modify your site's resource value, and modify it to your choice. If you know HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript, you can completely personalize it to your choice. The sky is really the restrict if you know what you're doing.

To get to this HTML editor, go to your blogger dashboard, and open your web page you want to personalize web page. From the blogger dashboard, basically simply select the Template option from the remaining sidebar, and then got to HTML button key.

What's new with the Design editor?

The new functions are based more towards user-friendliness (or rather, programmer-friendliness) and aim at enhancing efficiency. Formerly, the Design HTML manager was much like the shapeless, HTML editor you get with Blogger writer content (not that I'm stressing, it's a excellent way to keep factors quick and simple).

But modifying content is one factor, and modifying a template is quite another. One often had to obtain the value (I know I had to), create changes to it in a more relaxed manager (such as Notepad++), and then publish it again, just for the benefit of tracking factors more quickly. Now I am no professional, but examining out your web page this way is one terrible of a job. And unless you desired to invest the whole day just creating your content look more satisfactory, you required a better remedy which, by the way, has lastly arrived! Blogger has created web page HTML manager much more relaxed to use by including the following functions.

  • Line numbering - Now, you can see line figures on each line, creating it much much more simpler to identify mistakes and keep a record of your value.
  • Syntax highlighting  - Much like in innovative value publishers, you can now see syntax featuring. The manager will actually shade value different things in your resource to create it much more understandable.

  • Auto-indentation - I really like value publishers that auto-indent value for me so that I won't have to media all those additional An eye and Spacebars. But more than that, this function allows you keep your value structured, and you can quickly keep a record of what connected where. For example, you can quickly determine what's within your div tag, or what have you involved in a record etc. You can see auto-indentation arriving into activity while you're composing some value. Blogger template editor will instantly put in the areas for you. You can also use the Structure Design choice to fresh up the indent of your whole template.
  • Code folding - I really like this choice too. Once I'm done with a particular item of value, such as a div tag, I can basically flip the value, and not have to look at that huge slice of value again. You can see this from the picture below. If you adhere to to where the pointer is directing, you will see a little, greyish pointer (►) next to line variety 13. And if you look at the road variety below, you will see 582, which indicates that the manager just stored me from having to search down through 569 collections of code!
  • Jump to gadget - Now, you have a faster way of moving to particular area of value in your template - value that connected to a gadget. Just basically simply select the Leap To Widget key at the top of the manager, and you can see a record of all icons you can jump to. Simply basically clicking any will take you to the specific area in value.
